The Egalitarian is a community-led organisation founded in 2020, raising awareness for inequality in society. Through their Safe Place Project they train and certify businesses in the night-time economy to improve safety and experiences for customers and staff in these businesses.
The Egalitarian brand was built organically across a number of years, eventually becoming a bold and distinctive look for the organisation. Alongside building the brand, Spike Report, the UK's first public spiking database, was developed and launched on the website.

The brand was built to be bold, colourful and eye-catching on social media. A vibrant colour palette was developed alongside strong, ownable icons and shapes.

Social media was a key channel for The Egalitarian to spread awareness of their cause. A full social media visual pack was developed to strike the right balance between variation and consistency on all social channels.

The launch of the Safe Place Project prompted the development of physical assets, such as posters, help & support booklets and merchandise.

With The Egalitarian growing, the team needed an extensive designs system to keep all their materials consistent. We built multiple Figma files with design guidelines, social media templates and layout guides for physical materials.
